It has been an amazing year so far for Clarita. Having taken the decision to shift from professional model to concentrate solely on her love and passion for music, Clarita has already created huge waves with her performances and become a true inspiration to all that meet her.
Clarita’s rich and soulful music is the result of many things. Taking inspiration from her own life experiences and philosophy, and influenced by everyone from Nina Simone and Al Green, to The Roots, Angie Stone and Jill Scott, Clarita is most at home when she is behind her piano and writes and performs all of her own music.
Her affinity with the keys, as well as percussion, has fuelled a fire that has driven her musical direction, as well as igniting a passion for vocals. Although Clarita is reluctant to categorize her music, others have attempted to define her sound. The likes of ‘So Natural’ provide soulful vibes to the album, where as ‘Summer Time’ brings out the rnb flavours within her musical repertoire. Performances include 1xtra’s In the City, support for Amp Fiddler, Akon, Martin Luther, as well as radio plays on 1xtra, Radio 1, Shmu FM, Radio Scotland to name a few.
Due to record her next single and music video, Clarita has experienced various changes, journeys, and collaborations throughout the years as a musician and this year looks likely to get even better!
